Spinning is

SLOW

and I am enjoying the calm rythm of hands and feet working together. Memories of learning to spin are woven through the 10 years our family spent living in the country.

The smell of a fleece and the companionship of others is as strong now as my introduction to all things sheepy was in 1980.  My skills are slowly improving. The return of physical memory combined with a more technical appreciation of the process of creating yarn to knit are making me smile.

The yarn spun from the "cinnamon roll" rolags

The mundane chore of cleaning the garage yielded an interesting artefact. The lumpy bumpy beanie was the first garment knitted from my first spool of spinning. Life is full of unexpected happenings.

Whatever your weekend plans enjoy yourself.   Terry

Your cinnamon scroll yarn looks yummy! There's probably a technical term for it but I really like the twists of different colours together. How fun to find your first knitted garment, a good reward for cleaning out the garage. I think I would just fins spiders if I cleaned our garage.

Terry, the colour and texture in your yarn is beautiful. I hope you enjoy knitting with it as much as you have spinning it!
