The precision of paper piecing is a delight. Unlike American patchwork it's roots are English. The process of covering paper templates and then stitching small units together is relaxing.
Not a process of stitching easily accomplished while walking or riding in a Covered Wagon.
Interesting to speculate about how the old quilts we admire were stitched and who the women were.

English paper piecing is sentimental to me. It was the method I used when I started quilting many moons ago. It's a great stars for my sun moon and stars workshop with jude - hugs Nat
The stars look wonderful in the night sky! You're so right about paper piecing being relaxing. You really conjured up an image with your mention of wagons, I could even smell the dust. You have a wonderful weekend too! :)
I love your stars Terry. Looking forward to seeing the quilt they will belong to.
