is defined as ceremonial gift giving practiced by the Native Peoples of North America.
I remember making small tokens of friendship as a Girl Scout to take to Jamborees
These small 3" sq tags are just that
token gifts POTLATCH for the Country Women's Association NWS State Conference.
1000 needed
Yikes that's a lot
my total is 60 so far and climbing.
No I am not making ALL 1000
Just a few and it did remind me of pleasant childhood times.
Stitching has a way of doing that.
It's just gone 7 am Saturday here in Sydney. Wherever you are enjoy the weekend, family, friends and GO the Wallabies!!!!!!

did you say 60 so far? that's doing really well. such a nice idea and perhaps a bit faster to make than the 10" knitted squares for Wrap.
you have a lovely weekend also, k.
These are adorable Terry! You do such cute things. I seem to remember that pink thimble print and hand quilting from the yonder! Have a great weekend yourself - Hugs Nat
What a lovely idea. Enjoy your weekend
I thought you were going to do all 1000 and nearly fell off my chair!! Though 60 is still a very impressive number! I'm glad you put the size in, 3inches is so small and sweet. I haven't seen if the Wallabies won or not but I hope it was a good game. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Very cute! I made a small quilt, hand pieced and hand quilted, out of the four patch pattern. It's one of my favourite traditional blocks. As for the Potlach, as I'm originall from Vancouver, British Columbia, I've always associated it with food, music, extreme colour and dancing. Salmon cooked on a cedar plank was always on the menu. My mouth is drooling at the thought!!
